Everything you need to know about your virtual appointment

We provide clinically focused evaluations through convenient video or telephone appointments. Review our step-by-step process, appointment preparation checklist, and privacy guidelines to prepare for your session.

How does the appointment process work from start to finish?

Getting started involves three clear steps: First, book your evaluation and appointment time through Jane App, where you will complete your intake forms and payment. Next, meet your evaluator by secure video or telephone for a relaxed, respectful, and non-judgmental discussion regarding what brought you in, your background, and relevant history. Finally, your comprehensive written evaluation report is typically completed within 24 to 48 business hours after your evaluation and receipt of all required information.

What are the physical location requirements for telehealth?

Because Northwest Evaluations, LLC is licensed to provide services in Washington, you must be physically located within Washington State at the exact time of your telehealth evaluation. You may complete your session from any private, suitable location inside Washington. If you are traveling or your location changes before your scheduled appointment, please notify us immediately.

How will I receive my completed written evaluation report?

Your written report is completed within 24 to 48 business hours following your evaluation session and after all necessary documentation is received. We deliver reports securely directly to you or, upon receipt of a signed and valid release of information, directly to an authorized third party such as legal counsel, an employer, or a regulatory board.

What formats are available for the evaluation session?

Evaluations are conducted primarily via secure, encrypted video conference through Jane App, or by telephone when appropriate. Both formats offer the same level of rigorous clinical assessment, personal attention, and confidentiality.

What do I need to prepare before my appointment?

To ensure a smooth evaluation, please have a smartphone, tablet, or computer equipped with a reliable internet connection, a quiet and private space where you can speak openly, a valid photo ID ready for identity verification, your completed intake forms and consents, and any relevant documents or records requested prior to your session. Please plan to remain fully present and uninterrupted throughout your appointment.

How is my privacy and confidentiality protected online?

Your privacy is our highest priority. All virtual evaluations are conducted through secure telehealth technology in compliance with applicable privacy laws and professional healthcare standards. Sessions occur in a private, confidential setting, and reports are transmitted only to you or to third parties you have authorized in writing. Your evaluation is a confidential, judgment-free space designed for open, honest communication.

What should I do if I experience technical issues during the call?

If you run into connection trouble or audiovisual issues during your secure video session, your evaluator will contact you promptly by phone to assist with troubleshooting or continue the session by telephone if clinically appropriate.

What types of evaluations can be conducted via telehealth?

We offer Substance Use Evaluations ($450), Mental Health Evaluations ($650), and Combined Mental Health & Substance Use Evaluations ($850) entirely through secure telehealth, complete with timely written reports delivered within 24 to 48 business hours.
