Frequently asked questions

We understand that undergoing a clinical mental health or substance use evaluation can feel daunting. We strive to make the process transparent, supportive, and straightforward from scheduling through final report delivery.

What will the evaluation be like?

It is a relaxed, conversational process rather than an interrogation or a test. Our licensed professional focuses on listening and gathering clinical history in a supportive environment.

Will I be judged during my appointment?

No. Our objective is to understand your individual circumstances and provide an objective, professional clinical assessment free of judgment.

Is my information kept confidential?

Yes. Your privacy is strictly protected. All personal health details are securely managed and released only with your explicit written authorization.

Can I complete the evaluation from home?

Yes. Evaluations are conducted entirely via secure video or telephone. However, regulations require that you must be physically located in Washington State during the appointment.

Are evaluations accepted for court, probation, or employment?

Our clinical mental health and substance use evaluations may be used for legal, probation, employment, or family-law matters. However, acceptance is determined entirely by the requesting agency, court, employer, or attorney. Please note we do not provide DUI/DWI, forensic, child custody, or competency evaluations, nor do we offer expert witness testimony. Please verify requirements with your legal representative prior to scheduling.

How does booking through Jane App work?

You can book directly online using Jane App. Simply choose your appointment time, complete your digital intake forms and consents, and submit payment securely to reserve your session.

What do I need to prepare for my telehealth session?

You will need a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and reliable internet connection, a quiet and private space, a valid government-issued photo ID, and any relevant documents. You must also be physically located in Washington State for the duration of the visit.

How quickly will I receive my written report, and do you accept insurance?

Comprehensive written reports are typically completed within 24–48 business hours after your evaluation and receipt of all required collateral documents. Reports can be securely delivered to you or directly to an authorized third party. We are a private-pay practice and do not bill insurance or supply superbills for out-of-network reimbursement.
